Finally I am making this true: automatic antenna switch! I ordered a nice combo from remoteqth.com : Band Decoder II (MK2) and ”six2one switch”. The MK2 came partly as a kit. Since it’s based on Arduino, it was a nice new acquintance to me. Some soldering was needed in the project, but for me the software was the most interesting part.
The video shows how the band decoder detects the rig frequency and switches antenna relays based on configurations I have made in the band decoder. The grey box will be installed outdoors; in comes only one coaxial cable and one control cable. The control cable is just an ordinary network wire; I found it fit well for this purpose.
